worship concerts or just by hearing our album songs
Clara Yeo (Singapore)
Hi 1AM!
I'm Clara from Kuching! I got saved during 1AM's REVELATION's album
launch. I was doing my A Levels in Taylors College back then and left
ECF 2 months after my salvation upon completing my course so I'm not
surprised if none of you actually remember who I am =) Anyway, I just
wanna say THANK YOU to all of you! Thanks for all the songs that you
wrote especially in your first album. They meant a lot to me! I'm
furthering my studies in Singapore now and is a member of City Harvest
Church. When I first came to Singapore, it took me quite sometime to
find a home church simply because ECF & 1AM is just so special. All
of you occupy a very special & irreplaceable place in my heart.
This is already my third year in Singapore but I still miss ECF alot.
The presence of God is still so strong whenever I listen to 1AM's
songs. They carry me through a lot of my difficult times in Singapore
and never fails to remind me how God touched my heart, how He found me,
how I started my journey with HIM. Truly, I thank God for ECF, for 1AM,
for all of you. Good job!
=D
Robelyn (Dubai)
Hi,
I'm Robelyn I'm working here in U.A.E. I once attended your
concert here in Dubai. I got a copy of your album. I want you to know
that I really admire the songs that you've wrote especially the song
SOLD OUT. The lyrics touched my heart and made me to totally surrender
my life to Jesus. When I attended your concert I was just new here in
U.A.E. I was a lost Christian seeking for a revival. I was a
backslider. I find hard to get back to God. I was a christian who was
not stable with my life to GOD or in other words a carnal christian.
During that time I can't sing the song which has a lyrics of a totall
surrender to God. 'Cause I'm still looking back to something. But when
you guys came here and when I heard your song and the exhortation part
I was moved! I found myself on my knees crying to God. At this point of
my life I can say that I'm totally SOLD OUT to Christ! Now everytime
I'm playing the song alone, in my room I could'nt help myself but cry.
I can feel the love of God in my life. He is great!!! Now my life is
turning around God and I am totally delivered. Glory to His matchless
Name!!! I'm waiting for more of God out of you guys!!! God bless
you!!!! Let's keep our fire burning untill His return!!!!
Chris Liew (Kota Kinabalu)
I would also like to tell you that
recently, your song, "My Father" was sung in our Youth service as
worship song and the congregation was so so so touched and filled by the
presence of God and Holy spirit that we had such a deep and extended
worship among everyone. We saw magnificent flow of glory in
worship. I too have sung it during my session where i led worship at our
Praise and Worship retreat. Kelvin, it was so awesome!
Samantha (Auckland – New Zealand )
Talk about shaking up the status
quo...1am rocked!
The 1.am crew came at the right time to New Zealand, and really made
an impact here.
The message, to live a life Sold Out to Jesus gave words to what was
the cry of many of our hearts...to live lives that were completely
given to God! Abandoned to His purposes.
The heart of worship, on these mighty men and women, inspired us to
new depth in worship here... to lift up Jesus, with our all, and see
Him change our nation mightily.
Auckland has at times been resistant to the
Gospel of Christ, so
worshipping with 1am in the centre of our city, was my highlight! It
was a moment where I realised their heart as children of God, was to
lift up Jesus with all their hearts, and their lives...The fact that
they would come and serve our city in adoration of our Jesus, blew me
away!
John 12:32 says, "But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will
draw
all men to myself."
And we were drawn by the Spirit of God into lives Sold Out....hard out
for Jesus!
The message of 1am was about a heart after God's own, and a passion
for Him solely! Their music was a cry of lives surrendered.... And
that is what is still sounding in the homes and hearts of many of us
in NZ, this message I pray will continue to do so, as we raise up a
standard of worship, with all of our heart!
Being Sold Out to God, for me, means being dedicated wholly to God, to
knowing Him, and living daily His will for my life...passionately
seeking His face, obeying His voice...and showing others how to do the
same!
I pray this message of Sold Out, will impact and inspire every heart
to pursue God with everything!
Esera & Winnie Maeata'anoa
No wonder I'm tired today ! lol!
Your Sold Out album and dvd is very well done and really ministered to us and
our family. We were reminded of the price we must be willing to pay if we
really want to follow Jesus.
We also were encouraged because we are believing in faith to go into full-time
ministry for Every Nation Ministries by July this year.
Our family were "sold out" to the message you gave in the weekend
with your 'Rock ' and sweet worship sounds.
The dvd was user friendly and it was so nice to see that you were giving back
by instruction on the music and sharing the gospel story and your ministry.
Please come back to New Zealand again soon. Your message needs to be
"SOLD OUT" everywhere to 'Every NAtion' Amen!
Love and God BLess,
Donna Funk - Every Nation Christian Church New Zealand
I have been in MANY church worship
services and have rarely experienced the sincere praise and deep worship of 1am. During their praise songs, a thought struck me,
"These words, and voices don't go with these beautiful faces." It was
then that I realized how very small my vision was. It never occurred to me, to
my embarrassment, that there were such excellent praise and worship bands
outside of America and Australia! They truly blessed me and ROCKED
the heart of God!!
Amy - Dubai UAE
Hi Neil
I really thank God for answering my
prayers through your team (1 Accord Ministries). You guys have been really a
blessing to me in a very personal way, starting from the music workshop to the
Jebel Ali Concert. My purpose here in Dubai has made clearer (through David's
life), the 'Less is More' attitude, the beauty of memorizing chords in order to
listen to it's lyrics-that will produce Real/true worship-contagious to flow-
that will accomplish the purpose God wants for us as leaders. Among others,
these are just some of the most important things I have learned from
your ministry.
It inspires me to play keyboards
in the music team all the more, and practice more as a lifestyle of
worship, as it's not about me, but about God. (Im now being trained by winnie
& jay & G2 & kuya Tyne in our regular band pratice at the villa).
We pray that you guys would not
be weary and tired of ministering to the people all around the world, as
you all the more accomplish and experience the privilege of
advancing God's kingdom through music. Its indeed not in vain, as lives
have been changed- including mine.
Looking forward to have your CD the
soonest! : )
Thank you and God Bless you!
Your sis in Christ,
Fred Buhat - Sharjah UAE
The song "My Father" is one
of a kind. It is more than a song, it's life, it's the message. The lyrics is
so simple but with deep meaning of relationship, intimacy and greatest
commitment. The music is simple and easy to adopt that really match with the
lyrics. It's another masterpiece of heavenly beings. As a fact even my five
year old boy love to sing this song, he can repeat it even 20 times in just one
session. Praise God.
May the Lord continue to bless you
with your ministry. Be SOLD OUT for God.
Pastor Aljay Lumapas - Every Nation UAE
Here are the summary of the impact you all
have made while visiting us.
FAITH: Faith has been stirred up in the hearts of the
people in the UAE as we've seen 1a.m. band members so young yet making an impact in
the nations.Your voices were heard not just in Dubai, Sharjah, and Jebel Ali but
to the many nations represented during our Spirit filled worship concert.
The same way the walls of Jericho crumbled in the days of Joshua, i believed
that a lot of demonic strongholds went crushing down as you declared the praises
and worship of our King Jesus here in the Middle East.
Worship: All of us were inspired by how you worshiped
our King. Our worship team have been challenge to bring His worship to the next
level. The workshops helped them see the bigger perspective of unity and
teamwork.
The message
of Sold Out: One can be sold out to anything or anyone but theres nothing like
living a life sold out for Jesus. Its not just the songs and the melodies, but
your lives spoke the real meaning of Sold Out
Dr Philip Lyn Senior Pastor, SIB Skyline, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Every time I worship with you guys, I see, sense and enjoy the
passionate expression of worship. When I was the Senior Pastor of Agape
Touch Community, 1 a.m. brought in a fresh air of worship into the life
of the church. The people thoroughly enjoyed God through the worship.
The character and attitude of the team members were commendable as my
church caught on that spirit of excellence and enthusiasm.
Ps Victor Wong Youth Network Pastor, FCBC, Singapore
"ANOINT ME"...THIS IS SO MOTIVATING AND IT REALLY GETS TO YOUR

“There's always a tangible prophetic outpouring of the presence of God.
People are able to express what's in their hearts as the words connect
with real lives and real desires. 1 a.m. is 'memang' called to reveal
His glory.”

an album launch. and
revelation to many things*
It
finally arrived. I'm talking about the launch of 1 Accord Ministry's (or better
known as 1 a.m.) debut
worship album titled 'Revelation'.
And it hit the streets with a big bang!
The album launch coincided with three sold-out concerts held over three
consecutive nights on April 15, 16 and 17 at the ECF church
which was totally transformed, resembling a disco with the words
"REVELATION" lit above the entrance.
For a moment, I couldn't even recognise my own church! But that was good, in a
way.
See, firstly, it was the entrance. And then there were the canopied tents where
church members sold drinks, t-shirts and CDs while others distributed posters.
And there were the CD redemption booths. Then there was the long line of people
queuing up to enter. It might as well be Hard Rock Café. Only better.
Everyone had to produce a ticket which had three separate tabs: the left
portion for entry, the middle served as a memento and the right portion to
redeem the CD. Each ticket cost only RM20 and they were snapped up like hot
muffins, from church members and non-members, Christians and non-Christians
alike. Tickets were validated by two men in black suits (ala well-dressed
bouncers.) and many lovely ushers.
The car park attendants were dressed handsomely too, with similar black suits.
They also acted as watchmen throughout the night, making their rounds around
the front, back and side lanes to ensure the safety of all parked cars.
Next, the stage too, was prepped up befitting the launch, with time-precision
smoke releases, the album cover backdrop, long black blocks illuminated with
words like "ENCOUNTER", "SUPERNATURAL",
"TRANSFORMATION" and "FREEDOM" to set the mood for worship.
There was also a purple- and blue-hued chandelier centrepiece in the hallway.
The whole transformation was astounding.
For me, these decorations escalated the expectation for the night's performance.
And the band did not disappoint. In fact, it was, for the lack of a better word
– explosive!
The show kicked off with "Holy Spirit, Come", which was very apt,
like a prayer for the Holy Spirit to anoint everyone present as they got ready
for a night of powerful, meaningful and memorable worship.
"We're here to worship God together," Kelvin Lim, 1 a.m.'s worship director and Cathryn Loh, worship
pastor, proclaimed.
1 a.m. consists
of Kelvin (vocals and keyboards), Cathryn (vocals), Kevin Lau (bass), Adrian
Lee (acoustic guitar), Vincent Chow (electric guitar), Terrence Inigo (drums),
Shawn Kong and Lisa Leong (back-up vocals).
When the song "Anoint Me" ended, Kelvin told the story from Matthew
25 about not living on borrowed oil, followed by an altar call for those who
wanted to experience new oil. Thereafter, he made another altar call for anyone
who wanted to accept Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Saviour. There was one
hand raised, he announced and immediately went on to sing "Breathe".
When the song ended, Kelvin came to centre stage and told of the one hand
raised earlier. He explained that as much as he wanted to discount it, the Holy
Spirit nudged him deeply to heed the need regardless.
See, the one hand raised was his daughter's. "Don't push away my little
children who want to come to me. She did not understand then. Now is the
time," the Lord convicted him. Kelvin called upon his daughter to come to
stage while Cathryn led her in the sinner's prayer. And the audience echoed
along.
That, for me, was the highlight of the night. To witness a daughter heeding her
own father's altar call to accept Christ. Awesome! I guess that's the best gift
any father could ask for. And only our Father God truly knows our hearts and
thus, planned for such a timely present.
Matthew 18:3 reads, "And said, verily I say unto you. Except ye be
converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom
of heaven."
Though only one person was saved that night, the impact was immeasurable.
All in all, 1 a.m. sang 12
songs, including the Mandarin rendition of "You Alone Are Worthy",
which was translated by Bay Chee Leong and Chen Ren Chun. The rendition was
unique with the keyboard erhu in the background, giving it a traditional yet
contemporary feel although I had no idea what was sung, except for words like
"ai" (love) and "Yeh Su' (Jesus). But when it comes to worship,
understanding the lyrics becomes secondary (like when one sings in tongues).
Instead, one should feel the music and allow it to lead you to a point where
the presence of the Holy Spirit becomes real and it elevates you to become
closer to God.
The band performed with gusto, song after song, chorus after chorus, line after
line. The momentum was strong – ten-folds greater than the usual Sunday
sessions. And who would expect any lesser from them?
Why did the band choose Revelation as a title, you ask.
Kelvin explained, "Because when we see God for who He is, we can't help
but worship. These songs are our glimpses of His greatness and how that has
changed us."
Cathryn added, "If you enjoyed these songs, you have been entertained. If
you meant what you sang, you have just worshipped. But if you live these words,
God must have revealed Himself to you. And because of His revelation, we
change…and we hope you will too!"
Amen.
Sharon Lim - Office Manager, Selangor
“1 a.m. worship has inspired us to give more in worship, to free
ourselves from the 'mindset' of what worship is (sing-along), to what
worship really is (communication, relationship with God). I feel that 1
a.m. songs are so nice and the lyrics so meaningful.”
Loretta Chin - Youth Minister, Selangor
“Sometimes, the word given during worship can be strong but it sure gets us out of our comfort zone.”
Jenny Ng - Journalist, Negeri Sembilan
Love this song:- It really helped a lot tonight I was feeling down.
Pastor Matthew Foo DUMC -Damansara Utama Methodist Church
God works in our lives according to certain
patterns and according to His time and season. It happened again this morning
as I was spending time with the Lord and was listening to the song "Holy
Spirit, Come" by 1a.m.
What happened? You see, the first time I heard the song at the worship service
to launch Revelation, I sensed God's tangible presence and tears begin to roll
down my cheek as I was overwhelmed by His presence. This morning is just the
same, I worship the Lord with "Holy Spirit, Come" and I could
immediately feel the tangible presence of God coming into the room! Yes, tears
begin to flow and I had a short but intimate time just being in His presence.
Actually, this happens every time I worship the Lord with the song. I remember
in June when I was preaching in church on Spiritual Hunger, came back from the
two powerful Saturday night celebrations exhausted. The next morning as I was
about to fine tune the message (I was suppose to preach on Spiritual Atmosphere
but felt led to change) I felt a check in my spirit to just worship the Lord.
It was a powerful time as I worship the Lord with "Holy Spirit,
Come", tears began to flow yet again! The song has such anointing that
every time I worship the Lord I would want to sing the song!
Praise the Lord for filling our spiritual hunger! Praise the Lord for the song
too!
I want more of His presence in my life, won't you?
