Have a heart to learn music, but don’t know where to start? Playing by ear is a great place to start off. It’s not playing an instrument with your ear, but rather using your ear to “catch” music. Playing by ear is a term to describe any person who is able to listen to any song and play it with improvisation, without the need for musical notation. Playing by ear can also mean improvising a piece of music from music sheets. Learn the basic theory of music scales, chords and chord structure, rhythmic training, and identifying songs musically. At the end of the day, students can not only play by ear, but they are able to read chord charts as well. It is also for musicians who can already play classically, but wants a different approach in playing music.
